Awareness Vs Acceptance- A Plural Perspective Introduction This week marks Plural Acceptance Week (with Plural Pride Day being this Saturday). I (Star) thought it this was a good time to bring up this issue of Awareness versus Acceptance. This mostly seen in the Autistic Community (which we also are). We figure plural allies might get more out of this than actually plurals. What Is Awareness? Awareness is something you know of. For example, this week is Nonbinary Awareness Week. So this week, you might be learning about what nonbinary is and who is considered nonbinary. Or maybe you know about your neighbor. You know your neighbor exists, but you have no idea who your neighbor is. Maybe they like chocolate ice cream the best. Maybe they play golf on the weekends. Maybe they might be neurodivergent or queer. You don't know for sure who they are really. You might tell your family about neighbor when they ask who lives in the house next door or inform subscribers when they are movin...
